Achievement and SIP

Measures of Student Achievement and Success

Student progress is measured using a variety of methods and tools. Classroom teachers keep detailed records and report regularly to parents. Assessment and evaluation for learning is an ongoing process, which enables teachers to diagnose individual needs and plan programs accordingly. Grade 3 and 6 students participate in the Ministry EQAO testing in May.
One of the main goals of the school is to develop student confidence by building on success. This is not limited to academics, but includes student participation in drama, music and physical education. The extracurricular program is designed to provide many opportunities for children to learn new skills and expand their individual horizons.
